Ebru has been involved almost in all matters of industrial property law, namely, patents, utility models, designs, trademarks, well-known marks, integrated circuit topographies, and geographical indications.

 

She has particular expertise in drafting and prosecuting patent and design applications for local and international clients and has also been involved in IP due diligence, investigations, prior art searches, patentability assessments, and infringement and validity investigations. 

 

Her main technical experience is in the areas of electronics, software, and mechatronics, particularly wireless and wired communication systems, signal processing, automatic control systems, smart wares, IT consultancy, and business patents.

 

Background and Experience

Ebru graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a diploma in Electric-Electronics.

 

She joined KORDINAT as a patent engineer in 2014 and assumed the position of head of IP operations in 2020. Before entering into the IP profession, she worked as a technician at remote hardware testing in a leading IT consulting firm, and as an expert at after-sales technical services for about five years in a leading telecommunication company.

 

She took an active role in software and hardware setup and global delivery thereof within the scope of the pilot application of the Ministry of National Education Fatih project.

 

She has been also involved in various patent, technology, and design projects with university-industry collaborations, technoparks, technology transfer offices, and R&D centers, and in trademark projects for the protection and enforcement of trademark and related rights at national and multi-national levels.

 

Participating in corporate social responsibility applications of the emergency response team at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Ebru has a "paramedic" certificate in disasters and first aid.
