Gozdenur Ulu
Gozdenur advises clients in all in all areas of patent, utility model, and design law.
She has expertise in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for local and international clients and has also been involved in oppositions and appeals before the Turkish Patent Office.
She has further experience in IP due diligence, investigations, prior art searches, patentability assessments, and infringement and validity investigations.
Her main technical experience is in the areas of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, polymers, food, and tech textile.
Background and Experience
Gozdenur has a diploma in Chemical Engineering from Marmara University in Istanbul.
As for academic studies, her graduate thesis was directed to experimental investigation and mathematical modeling of the effects of phase change materials on the performance of a household cooler. Then, she was accepted to master program of innovative technical textiles at Istanbul Technical University and she also focused, at postgraduate projects, on technical textiles, especially automotive textiles, and acoustic textiles.
Before entering into the IP profession, she worked as an expert in the testing and inspection services of textiles and apparel for three years at a leading global company operating on safety, quality, performance, and certification. She also worked beforehand as an intern in the plastic, food, and paint industries, respectively.
Gozdenur joined KORDINAT as a patent engineer in 2019 and regularly attended online patent courses at European Patent Academy. She passed the exam and qualified as a patent attorney in 2021.
She has been also involved in various projects with university-industry collaborations, technoparks, technology transfer offices, and R&D centers.
