Hakan is the IP Lawyer -admitted to practice before the Turkish courts- and one of the first certified mediators in Turkish business law. He counsels domestic and international clients on intellectual property prosecution, litigation, dispute settlement procedures, and business transactions at KORDINAT. 

 

Hakan previously interned with Halk Bankasi, one of the biggest state banks, working on commercial transactions, business counseling, and securities.  After having previously worked in a few law offices in the areas of intellectual property, commercial litigation, civil and criminal enforcement, and contract matters, he established his own Law Office in January 2010.

 

Hakan moves quickly to protect clients in intellectual property disputes involving copyright, designs, patents, trade secrets, or trademark infringements. He strives to settle these issues without litigation, but aggressively pursues the matter in court if that is the best option for the client.

 

His clients include apparel manufacturers, toy and game companies, jewelers, licensing agents and manufacturer’s representatives, software developers, restaurateurs, fine artists, textile designers, authors, and publishers.

 

Hakan also advises on and has significant experience in drafting, negotiating and resolving disputes concerning a wide range of commercial contracts, including distribution, manufacturing, supply, agency, joint venture, partnership and collaboration, research & development, and licensing contracts.
