Nurbahar Deryeler
Nurbahar has dealt with almost all matters of industrial property law, namely, trademarks, well-known marks, designs, geographical indications, patents and utility models.
She has particular expertise in drafting and prosecuting patent and design applications, and filing and defending trademark applications for local and international clients. She has also been involved in IP due diligence, investigations, prior art searches, patentability assessments, and infringement and validity investigations.
Her main technical experience is in the areas of green tech, energy, consumer goods, automotive, and information technologies. She also has research and studies on Industry 4.0.
Background and Experience
Nurbahar graduated from Istanbul Ticaret University with a diploma in industrial engineering having honors as a top-scoring student. Her secondary training in Management Information Systems Engineering is still continuing at Anadolu University.
She joined KORDINAT as a patent and design engineer and assumed the position of Trademarks/Designs Dept. Lead in 2020. Before entering into the IP profession, she worked at the automotive manufacturing and planning department of a leading car motor company and was involved in every stage of car production from its most basic to its final form, test drive, and launch. Beforehand, she did an internship at the engineering management department of a giant refinery company in Europe. She has extensive knowledge of SAP, ERP, AutoCAD, and Catia programs.
She has been also involved in various branding and trademark projects for the protection and enforcement of trademark and related rights at national and multi-national levels and in many patent, technology, and design projects with university-industry collaborations", technoparks, technology transfer offices, and R&D centers.
